For many people, Christmas is the most important time of the year, and they wait eagerly for the arrival of these holidays. In December, they count day by day until Christmas Eve (Dec. 24th) and Christmas Day (Dec. 25th). If you are one of those people, then you may like the Christmas Countdown screensaver. It shows an animated image of a winter landscape, complete with a snowman, a hybernating bear, a fox, quails, shooting stars and, of course, a Christmas tree with animated decorations. You can see Santa's sleigh at the background too.
When launched, after displaying a splash screen, the screensaver shows the aforementioned landscape, and a window showing the day of the month. Also, each day a new decoration is added to the tree. Finally, on December 25th, a star is added to the top of the tree, the decorations are light up, and the "Merry Christmas!" legend appears. All in all, it is a good screensaver, but it can be properly used only during December, unlike other similar programs. Also, it shows only one image, so it can be boring after a while. You can try it, though, since it is free. |
